Ladybug invitations are some of the cutest party invitations around and adorable invitations are available to buy or make.

To make a ladybug invitation you can trace a circle onto white cardstock paper. Then trace half of a smaller circle using black paper for the head. Then trace the same size circle as the first for the wings. Cut out the shapes and use a paper fastener to attach the wings so the move in and out. Then use a marker to swing the wings out and write your party details inside. Cut small black circles for the dots and use moveable eyes to add some whimsy. This video shows the steps to take to make the ladybug invitations pictured in the video, super cute and easy to make.

A little girl’s first birthday party is one of the most special birthdays of all. Marley Majcher a birthday party planner has some great ideas to make your little girl’s first birthday party a special and fun one.

One fun idea she has is to make giant paper flowers out of pink and white tissue paper and then decorate with white butterflys or other fun decorations.

She says the paper flowers are great because you can fluff them out to take up lots of room or make them smaller depending on how much space you have to accessorize.

To carry the theme throughout the entire party you can make a cake with butterflys on it or cute flowers. We love this simple idea with lots of great options for your girl’s 1st birthday party.

Here is a fun video we found on how to actually make the paper flowers shown in the video above.

Most parents wonder how many kids should I invite and should I set a time limit? Use these tips by Shana Henry at Disney Family.com to help plan your next party.

Age 1: 1/2 to 1 hour

Since the child really has no concept of the parties, schedules and formal games are not necessary. The occasion itself is significant, and should consist of mainly close family members.

Age 2: 1 to 1-1/2 hours

Children still are not quite able to grasp the concept of a party by the age of two. Few activities will be enough for the party time. There should be a parent for each child, so about four to five children should be appropriate.

Age 3: 1 to 2 hours

A couple of hours is plenty for 3-year-olds. They are a little more used to social situations and are more active. About five to eight children is a good number of guests, depending on whether or not you will have enough help at the party.

Age 4: 1-1/2 to 2 hours

The key with 4-year-olds is to keep the party moving. The number of guests can range from 8 to 12 kids, if you have good help.

Age 5: Up to 2 hours

In this age group, the children can handle a couple of hours of activities. The guest list should not be too overwhelming, especially if you decide to take the party outside the home. Up to 15 children can be invited for an in-home party and 10 for an outside venue.

Age 6 and Up: 2 to 2-1/2 hours (do not exceed 3 hours)

As the children get older, they usually determine how the party will play out. The planned schedule may change, so the time frame will allow for changes like that. The children are usually easier to handle and don’t require an adult for each child, so the number of invited children can range from 12 to 18.”

You can read the full article here. These are great tips and if you have children of all ages attending your kids next party just choose the time that fits the majority of the kids that will be attending. Tell us what you think of these time frames by leaving a comment below!
